Mr. Arthur Gable Coleman of Richmond, formerly of South Boston, died Saturday, Sept. 19 at Kindred Hospital at the age of 56.
Mr. Coleman was born in Halifax County on January 27, 1953 to the late Mrs. Bernice Coleman Tune. He was married to Mrs. Cheryl Palmer Coleman and was a member of Cedar Street Memorial Baptist Church in Richmond.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Ms. Keonna Coleman of Richmond; one grandson, Mr. Jaiden Coleman; two brothers, Mr. Noah Shaheed of South Boston and Mr. Eric Tune of Charlottesville; one sister, Ms. Remonia Wright of South Boston; his stepfather, Mr. Frank Tune of South Boston; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Brenda Broadnax and Ms. Rhonda Norwood, both of South Boston; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, including Mrs. Agatha Chambers and Mr. Curtis Coleman, other relatives and friends including the devoted Mr. Edwin Coleman.
Funeral services for Mr. Coleman will be held Thursday, Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel The family will be receiving friends at the home of Mr. Noah Shaheed, 1610 Clay Street, South Boston.
At the request of the family there will be no public viewing.
