Mr. Roosevelt Ebo Logan of South Boston, formerly of Pittsylvania County, passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 at Halifax Regional Hospital.
Mr. Logan was born May 4, 1938 to the late Claude Stephens and Irene Logan and was 71 years of age at the time of his passing.
He was married to Janice Heart Logan and was a member of New Mt. Olive Holiness Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Rosetta, Eric, Garrie, Joanne (Amadee) and Ricky (April), all of Long Branch, NJ, Anthony (Carol) and Nancy (Tim) of South Boston; eight grandchildren; seen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Petty, Martha (Robert) and Yvonne (David); a brother, Claude Lee; an aunt, Rebecca Logan; and a host of other relatives and friends.
One daughter, Barbara, also preceded Mr. Logan in death.
Funeral services for Mr. Logan will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. at New Mt. Olive Holiness Church with District Elder Leonia Palmer conducting the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services and other times at 540 Webster Street, South Boston and 1109 Blue Rock Road, Vernon Hill.
