Mrs. Willie Pearl Stephens Easley of Leighwood Trail, Halifax died on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Duke Regional Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, at the age of 62.
Mrs. Easley was born in Halifax County on April 18, 1952 and was the daughter of the late Mr. Joseph Warren Stephens and Mrs. Annie Beatrice S. Stephens.
She was a member of Elkhorn Baptist Church and was a registered nurse with Halifax Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Easley was married to Mr. Henry Wayne Easley.
Mrs. Willie Pearl Easley is survived by her husband, Mr. Henry Wayne Easley; three sons, Mr. Chris Easley, Mr. Rodney Easley and Mr. Jeffrey Easley, all of Halifax; one step-son, Mr. Troy Garner, and wife Stacey of Durham, North Carolina; two daughters by marriage, Mrs. Tamara Easley and Mrs. Danielle Easley, both of Halifax; five grandchildren, Rodrick, Ryan, Carmen, Christopher James and Riley Easley; one step-grandson, Jalen Garner; one brother, Mr. Herbert Caldwell Stephens, of Emporia; three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Tucker of Halifax, Mrs. Adell Hillman of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Valerie Robinson of Richmond; six brothers-in-law; four sister-in-laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Pearl Stephens Easley will be held Monday, June 2, at 11 a.m. with services at Banister Hill Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 3203 Meadville Road, Halifax with the Rev. Matthew Richardson III, the Rev. Stanley Winbush and the Rev. Dr. C. Lewis Motley conducting the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Public viewing for family and friends was Sunday from noon until 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 2012 Leighwood Trail, Halifax.
