Mr. Ronald Lee “Blue” Sydnor of Leda Road, Nathalie died Monday, April 28, 2014, at his residence at the age of 60.
Mr. Sydnor was born Feb. 9, 1954 in Halifax County to Mr. Charlie Lee Sydnor and the late Mrs. Mildred Hill Sydnor. He was married to Mrs. LaDonna Wyatt Sydnor and was a member of Millstone Baptist Church.
Mr. Sydnor was employed as assistant manager at Chandler’s Millstone Convenience Store.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include one son, Mr. Craig M. Williams, of Easton, Maryland; his father of Nathalie; two brothers, Mr. Curtis C. Sydnor of Stanton and Mr. Floyd R. Sydnor Sr. and companion Ms. Belinda Hicks of Nathalie; one sister, Ms. Drucilla S. Boddie, of Nathalie; one devoted nephew, Mr. Kevin A. Boddie, of Nathalie; one uncle, Mr. Garland Irby, of Baltimore, Maryland; four sisters-in-law, Portia Baines of St. Michaels, Maryland, Catherine Lewis and Faye Scott, both of Hartford, Connecticut, and Delois Wyatt of Halifax; one brother-in-law, John A. Scott, of Hartford; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including the devoted Norma Hendricks of Richmond, Wendell Hendricks of Dinwiddie and Kevin Warner of Eston, Maryland; and two devoted cousins, Barbara Williams of Camp Springs, Maryland and Marie Hendricks of Nathalie.
Funeral services for Mr. Sydnor will be held Monday, May 5, at 1 p.m. at Millstone Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Crews officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Public viewing for family and friends will be Sunday, May 4, from noon until 6 p.m. at The Crawford House chapel, Halifax. The family will receive friends at the residence, 3201 Leda Road, Nathalie.
