The merger between Halifax Regional Health System and Sentara Healthcare is now a done deal, following approval last Monday by Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.

Woman injured in wreck

A 56-year-old Scottsburg woman was injured and taken to Halifax Regional Hospital following a two-vehicle wreck that occurred Tuesday at 7:39 a.m. on State Route 720, two miles south of Highway 360.
