Friday fire leaves Clover mobile home destroyed

A Friday afternoon fire destroyed a mobile home in Clover.

“It was burnt all the way to the ground,” said Liberty Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Jeff Brown who responded to the trailer fire at 1122 Browns Trail off of Neals Corner.

The mobile home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene and was later declared a total loss, Brown said.

Liberty Volunteer Fire Department responded with two trucks and six firemen and was assisted by five Triangle Volunteer Fire Department firefighters aboard two trucks.

Clover Fire Department responded with one truck and three firemen.

According to Brown, 3,500 gallons of water were used to extinguish the flames.

Brown said he was unsure who owned the mobile home, but said no one was home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
