According to an accident report filed by Virginia State Trooper K. R. Martin, Miranda H. Long was driving a 2000 four-door Daewoo Nubira when she ran off the right side of the road and overcorrected. After overcorrecting, she ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Damage to the Daewoo was estimated at $5,500.

No charges were filed.
