A 27-year-old Clover woman, Nancy E. Beachy, was injured and airlifted to Lynchburg General Hospital by Centra One Friday morning following a single-vehicle wreck that occurred at 8:30 a.m. on Hundley Road, two-tenths of a mile north of Clays Mill Road.

According to an accident report filed by Virginia State Trooper B. L. Crews, Beachy was driving a 2004 Chevrolet two-door when she ran off the road on the left, struck a tree and overturned.

Charges are pending in the wreck, Crews said.

Damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $4,000.

A Lynchburg General Hospital spokesperson said Beachy was listed in stable condition Friday afternoon.

A 50-year-old South Boston man was charged with driver inattention following a two-vehicle wreck that occurred Wednesday at 12:16 p.m. on John Randolph Boulevard at its intersection with Eastover Drive in South Boston.

According to an accident report filed by South Boston Police Officer R. L. Lawson, Daryl E. Thaxton was driving a 2003 Buick Century headed east on John Randolph Boulevard when he struck in the rear a 2012 Toyota Prius driven by 36-year-old Jane B. Loftis of Timberlake, N.C. who was stopped at the red light.

No one was injured in the wreck, the report stated.

Damage to the Buick was estimated at $2,500, and damage to the Toyota was estimated at $500.
