Tuesday kitchen fire causes damage to Nathalie home

A Tuesday afternoon kitchen fire caused $20,000 in damage to a Nathalie home. 

Liberty and Triangle Volunteer Fire Departments responded the call Tuesday afternoon at 4051 Clarkton Road in Nathalie. 

According to Liberty Volunteer Firefighter Tim Fisher, around 2:10 p.m. Liberty Volunteer Fire Department arrived on the scene with five trucks and two men and triangle arrived with four men. Brookneal Volunteer Fire Department assisted them with one truck and 12 men, North Halifax Volunteer Fire Department with three truck and 10 men and Clover Volunteer Fire Department with one truck and two men.

Fisher said firefighters used 1,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire, which started in the kitchen.
