No charges were filed after a 68-year-old Red Oak woman drove a 1998 Ford Expedition through the front glass of Loan Max in Centerville Thursday at 3:18 p.m.
According to an accident report filed by South Boston Police Sgt. R. D. Edmonds, Mary P. Brooks was getting ready to park in front of Loan Max when she hit the accelerator instead of the brake and ran the vehicle inside the building hitting an employee inside the building.
Tiffany G. Farmer, 24, of Halifax was transported to the emergency room at Halifax Regional Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries, Edmonds said.
Edmonds estimated damage to the building at $15,000, and damage to the Ford at $4,500.
