Hospital sets public meeting about merger

Got questions about what’s going on at Halifax Regional Hospital these days?

The Halifax Regional Health System will hold a public meeting Monday, April 29, at noon in the Leggett Auditorium at Halifax Regional Hospital to discuss how the healthcare needs of the community will be served following the proposed affiliation with Sentara Healthcare.

The public meeting is being held to receive comments and respond to questions on the potential impact of the affiliation on the communities served by Halifax Regional Health System, according to an advertisement placed in today’s Gazette-Virginian.

The public is invited to attend and present comments.

Those interested in speaking are asked to limit comments to three minutes per speaker. Sign in sheets will be available at 9:30 a.m.

Those wishing to write comments that won’t be presented at the meeting may send them to Halifax Regional Hospital, Olivia Epps, Manager of Marketing and Public Relations, 2204 Wilborn Avenue, South Boston, VA 24592.
