The Rev. Frank E. Coleman will be the guest speaker for the Halifax County Community Federal Credit Union’s 32nd annual meeting and banquet to be held at the Leggett Auditorium of the Halifax Regional Health System in South Boston on Friday, March 29 6 at p.m.
President of the Halifax County/South Boston Chapter of the NAACP and pastor of First Baptist Church on Ferry Street in South Boston, Coleman will share the value of “Working Together to Build Community.”
A native of New York, the Rev. Coleman and his wife, Dr. Margaret Fountain Coleman, moved to South Boston in 2010. They have four children.
Along with his pastoral duties, the Rev. Coleman became president of the Halifax County/South Boston Chapter of the NAACP in 2013. He is a commissioner on the Southside Planning District, a member of the Halifax County Department of Social Services Board and vice president of the Halifax County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition.
The Rev. Coleman holds a B.A. degree in religion and philosophy from Virginia Union University and a master’s in pastoral counseling from Almeda University.
