Virgilina goes Hollywood on ‘Millionaire’ game show

The Town of Virgilina went Hollywood on Friday as one of the answers on the popular game show, “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.”

One of Fridays’ contestants was asked the following question: “As a reflection of the neighboring state, a small town on the southern border of Virginia has what hybrid name?”

The slate of answers included Virgilbama, Virgylavania, Virgilina and Virgippi.

The contestant correctly guessed the correct answer “Virgilina,” and she won $2,000 for her efforts.

Meredith Vieira is currently the host of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire,” which was created in 1998.

Cash prizes are offered for correctly answering a series of multiple-choice questions of increasing or random difficulty.

Regis Philbin was the first host of the U.S. version of the show, which is of British origin.
