An exhaust fan in the bathroom of Center for Behavioral Therapies on Seymour Drive in South Boston is being blamed in a Sunday afternoon blaze.

South Boston Fire Department firefighters responded to a report of a fire in the bathroom of a business located at 1438 Seymour Drive in South Boston Sunday shortly after 2:30 p.m.

According to South Boston Fire Chief Steve Phillips, South Boston Fire Department responded with three trucks and 11 firefighters, and Halifax Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched but was asked to disregard shortly after the first firefighters arrived on the scene.

One person was in the building at the time of the fire, Phillips said, but no one was injured.

Phillips estimated damages to the bathroom at approximately $1,500.
