Construction on the new Dollar General Store being constructed at the intersection of Highways 501 and 360 in the Town of Halifax is moving rapidly, according to Halifax Town Manager Carl Espy.
In a recent update on construction progress, Espy said the town has received the application for Dollar General’s sign permit, and Par 5 Development LLC is looking at the town’s design requirements and ordinances.
“It’s going up pretty quickly,” Espy said noting the town recently approved signage for the store.
Par 5 and Rhetson Properties, the builder and developer out of Aberdeen, N.C., anticipates construction to be complete and the new 91,000 square-foot store to be operating by the fourth quarter of this year, Espy said.
The town manager said he is unsure when management will begin posting jobs and hiring employees.
