Halifax County High School’s Class of 2014 Commencement Exercises will get underway Saturday at 9 a.m. in the school’s gymnasium.
Admission is by ticket only, according to HCHS Principal Albert T. Randolph.
Krunal Mukesh Patel, Ethan Hunter Rosche and Marian Taylor Strange will deliver the commencement addresses.
Also included on the program are Senior Class President Chase Daniel Wilkerson and National Honor Society Vice President Aaron Paul Slabach.
Randolph will recognize the top 10 students graduating in the class, and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Merle P. Herndon and Dr. Ann Hayes, assistant to the president and dean of institutional effectiveness and special projects of Southside Virginia Community College, will recognize seniors who have earned the Associate of Arts and Science degree.
Herndon, School Board Chairman Kimberly T. Farson and Vice-Chairman Richard K. “Dick” Stoneman will then present high school diplomas to the graduates.
