Authorities searching for missing county woman

Halifax County resident Nannie Dora Randolph is missing, and the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the 65-year-old woman.

According to Halifax County Sheriff Fred S. Clark, Randolph is a 5-foot, 3-inch tall black female weighing 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

A family member who lives out of the state contacted Halifax County Sheriff’s Office about Randolph’s whereabouts when he became concerned after speaking with Halifax County relatives and other family members in Washington, D.C., Maryland and New York who reported no one had seen or heard from her in a while.

According to family members, Randolph is known to travel frequently but usually checks in with family members in Halifax County periodically.

In addition, family informed authorities that Randolph walks to most places, typically pulling a black rolling suitcase and has been known to accept rides from people and travel by train when travelling out of state.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Nannie Dora or if anyone has seen her, they are asked to contact Investigator Jeff Burton at 434-476-3334 or the Halifax County Crime Stoppers line at 434-476-8445.
