The final of four Candidates Forums will be held on Tuesday at the South Boston/Halifax County Museum of Fine Arts and History in South Boston beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Appearing at the forum will be South Boston Mayor Ed Owens who is running unopposed and two candidates, Margaret Coleman and Jim Debiec, each vying for a seat on South Boston Town Council currently filled by Morris Bryant.
Also participating in the forum will be both commonwealth’s attorney candidates, incumbent Mike Freshour and Tracy Quackenbush Martin.
Nick Long, general manager 95-3 WHLF FM, will be the moderator.
Registration also is available by clicking on the Candidates Forum at www.halifaxchamber.net.
The Halifax County Chamber of Commerce and Farm Bureau are jointly sponsoring the forum. Each organization has encouraged their members to attend the forum and to vote on Election Day.
“These forums are held to help people understand the importance of citizen engagement and the importance of understanding what the issues are and where the candidates stand,” said Chamber President Nancy Pool.
Citizens are welcome and encouraged to attend the forum.
