For town without police chief, the search continues

The search continues for a new Halifax Police Chief.

Halifax Town Council’s personnel committee will hold a work session this morning at 10:30 a.m. when they go behind closed doors to discuss Halifax Police Chief position.

The meeting will be held in the conference room of Halifax Town Hall in Halifax.

According to Town Manager Carl Espy, the committee members plan to discuss the candidate status based on evaluations review for the chief’s position.

The position has been vacant this year since former Police Chief David Martin resigned last December to accept a position with the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
