Boydton woman faces embezzlement charge

A 41-year-old Boydton woman faces a felony charge of embezzling leased property, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Sandra E. Jeffers of Hendrick Crow Road was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Sept. 3, and another agency served the warrant Thursday.

Mickey Allen Anderson Jr., 24, of Philpott Road, South Boston faces a felony charge of bail violation.

The alleged offense occurred Jan. 29, and Cpl. P. C. Clayton served the warrant Thursday.

 Kristy Cash Williams, 32, of N. Terry’s Bridge Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Jan. 27, and Deputy C. A. Bates V served the warrant Thursday.

 Dexter Edward Mills, 27, of Poplar Creek Street, South Boston faces a charge of being drunk in public, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer J. J. George served the warrant Wednesday.

  Lucy Majors, 59, of Chisolm Trail, Nathalie faces a charge of being drunk in public.

Cpl. J. C. Berry served the warrant Thursday.

 John Stanley Murphy, 54, of Westside Park Drive, South Boston faces charges of driving under the influence and refusing a breath test.

Officer B. H. Smith served the warrant Thursday.

 Ronald Waller, 56,of South Boston faces a charge of being drunk in public.

Officer F. A. Powell served the warrant Friday, and Waller was held in Blue Ridge Regional Jail until sober.

 Jacqueline Reed, 48, of South Boston faces a charge of possession of marijuana.

Officer T. W. Bush served the warrant Friday, and Reed was released on summons.

 Benjamin Alan Branch, 24, of South Boston faces a charge of driving while his operator’s license is suspended or revoked.

Bush served the warrant Friday, and Branch was released on summons.

 Shahumaad Jones, 30, of South Boston faces a charge of failure to appear in court.

Bush served the warrant Friday and Jones was being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond.

 Carl David Hughes, 50, of South Boston faces a charge of being drunk in public. 

Bush served the warrant Friday, and Hughes was held in Blue Ridge Regional Jail until sober.
