SoBo man issued capias for violating probation

A 47-year-old South Boston man was issued a capias for violating probation, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Clarence Hall Jr. of Philpott Road was charged with the alleged offense that occurred March 16, 2010, and Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrant Saturday.

Joe Willie Wilson Clark, 51, of Volens Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Dec. 11, and Deputy J. L.  Franco served the warrant Friday.

 Jackie Ray Letterman, 50, of Chestnut Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear in court.

The alleged offense occurred Dec. 12, and Franco served the warrant Friday.

 Theresa Brown B. Canada, 44, of Bane Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Jan. 12, and Deputy C. S. Yeatts served the warrant Friday.

 Ann Michelle Hudson, 38, of Hitesburg Church Road, Virgilina faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Clark served the warrant the same day.

 Herman Douglas Stephens, 57, of Howard Avenue, South Boston faces a charge of the contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred May 13, and another agency served the warrant Saturday.

 Bennie Thompson, 57, of Cluster Springs Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrant Sunday.

 Cheryl Thompson, 53, of Cluster Springs Road, South Boston   faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Sargent served the warrant Sunday.

 Richard Nelson Powell Jr., 24, of Saludas Lane, Clover faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.

The alleged offense occurred Jan. 15, and Clark served the warrant Monday.

 John Murphy Morris, 47, of Hitesburg Church Road, Virgilina faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Clark served the warrant Monday.

 Shanquita Monique Rosser, 20, of Bradley Creek Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Oct. 18, and Deputy R. L. Compton served the warrant Monday.

 Michael Antoine Freeman, 39, of Hamilton Boulevard, South Boston faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Cpl. A. E. Whitmore served the warrant Sunday, and Freeman was held without bond.

 Jaquan Alonzo Owens, 19, of Ferry Street, South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery on family member.

Officer C. L. Collie served the warrant Monday, and Owens was held on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

 Henry Troy Norwood, 56, of Edmunds Street, South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery on a family member.

Officer A. Davis served the warrant Monday.

 Elizabeth Harris Ricker, 37, of Yates Street, South Boston faces a charge of being drunk in public and four counts of child neglect. 

Officer F. A. Powell served the warrant Monday, and Ricker was held on a  $3,500 secured bond.
