Woman charged with hit and run

An 88-year-old Buffalo Junction woman faces a felony charge of hit and run and a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving on private property, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Catherine Bittle Sizemore of Chicken Town Road was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred April 22, and Deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrants Friday.

Anthony Dean Jones, 60, of James D. Hagood Highway, Scottsburg faces a felony charge of being a habitual offender and a misdemeanor charge of having defective equipment.

The alleged offenses occurred Friday, and Deputy S. Edmonds served the warrants Saturday.

 Jamal Kenwann Thaxton, 19, of Golden Leaf Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear in court.

The alleged offense occurred Dec. 17, and Inv. C. J. Yeatts served the warrant Friday.

 Elder Ivan Henriquez, 31, of Golden Leaf Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant the same day.

 Autumn Leigh Spisak, 37, of Magnolia Drive, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Deputy W. G. Nunn served the warrant Saturday.

 Samuel Heath Fears, 25, of Coles Ferry Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of adult abuse and neglect and was issued a misdemeanor capias for show cause.

The alleged offenses occurred Sunday, and Deputy W. F. Cross served the warrant and issued the capias the same day.

 Virginia Alease Fears, 48, of Coles Ferry Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of adult abuse and neglect.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Cross served the warrant Monday.

 Cordero Deshae Kirby, 25, of Ball Park Loop, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of  trespassing.

The alleged offense occurred Nov. 16, and Deputy R. L.  Compton served the warrant Monday.

 Durrell Lamont Bowden, 27, of Leda Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of brandishing a firearm.

The alleged offense occurred April 21, and Edmonds served the warrant Monday.

 Timothy Malcolm Betterton, 49, of Straightstone Road, Gretna faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public. 

The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Yancey served the warrant the same day.
