Authorities seek suspect in sex assault

South Boston Police are searching for a 37-year-old South Boston man wanted for an alleged sexual assault that occurred in the town.

Ralph Lee Boxley of Woodbrook Avenue area faces charges of forcible sodomy and object sexual penetration.  Boxley is known to frequent the Poplar Creek Street and Glendale areas, according to South Boston Detective R. E. Redd.  

Redd is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Boxley. 

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Boxley is asked to contact the South Boston Police Department at 434-575-7273, the E911 Center at 434-575-4271 or the Halifax County Crime Line at 434-476-8445. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
