South Boston man faces felony assault charge

A 44-year-old South Boston man faces a felony charge of assault with intent to maim, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Mark Anthony Adkins of Taylor Avenue was charged with the alleged offense, and Officer C.L. Collie served the warrant Tuesday. Adkins was held without bond.

Andre’ Leroy Thomas, 37, of Harry Street, Keysville faces a charge of driving under the influence.

Officer F. A. Powell served the warrant Thursday.

 Joshua Owen, 18, of John Henry Brown Road, Clover faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting.

Officer J. B. Throckmorton served the warrant Monday, and Owen was released on summons.

A 56-year-old South Boston woman faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Linda Darlene Hancock of Union Church Road was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Tuesday, and Deputy W. F. Cross served the warrant the same day.

 Vincent Morrell Williams, 45, of Bane Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court. 

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 20, 2012, and another agency served the warrant Wednesday.
