Danville man faces charge of assaulting police officer

A 24-year-old Danville man faces two felony charges of assaulting a police officer and misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession and trespassing, according Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Kenneth Shane Tuck of Chilton Court was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Saturday.

Galvin Lee Omar Coleman, 21, of Lower Liberty Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of violating a juvenile protective order.

The alleged offense occurred Dec. 4, and Sgt. C. S. Yeatts served the warrant Friday.

 Bryan Derrell Davis, 29, of Railroad Avenue, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred March 1, and Yeatts served the warrant Friday.

 Joshua O’Brian Pannell, 25, of Holliday Street, Lynchburg faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Deputy C. A. Bates V served the warrant the same day.

 Samuel William Jordan, 51, of Clarkton Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Deputy W. F. Cross served the warrant the same day.

 William Spencer Stanley, 32, of Parsons Farm Road, Vernon Hill faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Inv. C. J. Yeatts served the warrant the same day.

 Jerome Fredderick Penick, 34, of Noblin Avenue, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of vandalism.

The alleged offense occurred Nov. 2, and Deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrant Monday.

 Kyle Lee Crews, 37, of Lynchburg Avenue, Brookneal faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Oct. 18, and Deputy J. P. Adams served the warrant Monday.

 Eugene Monroe Barksdale, 35, of Deaton Street, Danville faces charges of driving under the influence, obstruction of justice with use of threat or force, marijuana possession, refusing a breath test and driving on a suspended or revoked license, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Barksdale was held with no bond, and Sgt. G. M. Gilliam served the warrant Friday.

 Darien Wilkerson, 19, of Hutch Lane, Roxboro, N.C. faces a charge of marijuana possession, and Officer J. B. Throckmorton served the warrant Sunday.

 Danny Louis Perkins, 34, of Love Shop Park Road, South Boston faces a charge of being drunk in pubic. 

Cpl. T. N. Bratton served the warrant Monday.
