SoBo man facing abduction, malicious wounding charges

A 33-year-old South Boston man faces felony charges of abduction by force, malicious wounding and intentionally damaging an automobile and misdemeanor charges of assault and battery on a family member and assault, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Nicholas Kyle Bowes of Birch Court Lane was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred on Thursday, Nov. 21, and Inv. C. S. Hudson and Halifax Police Lt. D. D. Irby served the warrants Monday.

Jason Edward Bowen, 38, of Green Level Road, Scottsburg faces two felony counts of rape by force, threat or intimidation.

The alleged offenses occurred on or about April 8-10 and June 23-24, and Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrants Monday.

 Joseph Matthew Lawson, 29, of Buffalo Road, Long Island was issued a capias for a first offense marijuana possession indictment. 

The alleged offense occurred July 13, and Deputy J. M. Wade served the warrant Monday.
