Halifax officials continue probe in ’09 burglary

Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate a burglary involving 50 firearms that occurred almost four years ago.

According to Investigator M. A. Womack, some of the weapons stolen in the Dec. 23, 2009 burglary of Glenn Cash’s residence located at 12093 L. P. Bailey Memorial Highway have been recovered.

Authorities are seeking additional information that may lead to the recovery of the remainder of the firearms taken in the burglary, Womack said.

Anyone with information about the burglary that occurred two days before Christmas in 2009 are asked to contact Crimestoppers at 434-476-8445.
