Man faces charge of disregarding police command

A 32-year-old Roxboro, N. C., man faces a felony charge of disregarding a police command and misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, driving under the influence and refusing a blood/breath test, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

John Day Monatague of Bethel Hill School Road was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Tuesday, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrants the same day.

Andrew Thomas Stephens, 46, of North Main Street, South Boston faces a felony charge of probation violation.

The alleged offense occurred June 27, 2005, and another agency issued the capias Monday.

 Lacy Edward Bowen, 76, of Alphonse Dairy Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Deputy S. Edmonds served the warrant Friday.

 Jamie Lester Smith, 28, of Traver Avenue, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of violating a juvenile protective order.

The alleged offense occurred Oct. 8, and Edmonds served the warrant Friday.

  Brandon Gerald Dawson, 22, of Dawson Trail, Alton faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Inv. T. A. Mocarsky served the warrant the same day.

  Lisa Ann Wade, 43, of McCanless Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant Sunday.

  Brian Dale Phillips, 44, of North Terry’s Bridge Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 6, and Edmonds served the warrant Monday.

  John Ronald Shotwell, 55, of Bold Springs Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Deputy R. L. Compton served the warrant Monday.

  Jason Jermont Bouie, 28, of East Bishop Drive, South Boston faces a charge of embezzlement, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer C. L. Collie served the warrant Sunday, and Bouie was held on an $8,000 unsecured bond.

 Darrick Nathaniel Hearns, 39, of Fenton Street, South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery. 

Officer J. B. Throckmorton served the warrant Sunday, and Hearns was held on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
