Man faces grand larceny, burglary charges

A 22-year-old Vernon Hill man faces two felony charges of burglary with intent and grand larceny, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Corey Brandon Powell of Jones Trail was arrested Thursday by Cpl. T. N. Bratton on the pair of charges.

Powell was held without bond.

William D. Richardson, 20, of Delaware Street, Clover faces a felony charge of assault with intent to main, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 28, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrant Thursday.

 Adrella Yvette Williams, 41, of Beaver Pond Road, Nathalie faces a felony charge of failure to comply with an agreement.

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 16, and another agency served the warrant Thursday.

 Bionca Shanar’nae Jackson, 20, of Dood Street, Chase City faces a felony charge of vandalism.

The alleged offense occurred June 8, and Dep. J. L. Franco served the warrant Friday.

 David Lamonis Stovall, 41, of Ball Park Loop, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault while being in a mob.

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 22, and Dep. W. F. Cross served the warrant Thursday.

 Marque Lashon Lawson, 21, of Bane Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 22, and Cross served the warrant Thursday.

 Javonta Link, 20, of E. Bishop Drive, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault while being in a mob.

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 22, and Cross served the warrant Thursday.

 Leslie Renee Scott Sierra, 37, of MacDonald Road, Scottsburg faces two misdemeanor charges of truancy.

The alleged offenses occurred Aug. 19, and Edmonds served the warrants Thursday.

 Christopher Quinton Boyd, 33, of Coles Ferry Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 23, and Dep. T. H. Clarke served the warrant Friday.

 Christopher K. Pumphrey, 26, of Haskins Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court. 

The alleged offense occurred March 22, and Clarke served the warrant Friday.
