Assault charge lodged

A 63-year-old South Boston man faces a felony charge of assault with intent to maim, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Oscar Herman Johnson Jr. of Love Shop Park Road was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Friday, and Cpl. D. H. Barksdale served the warrant the same day.

 Lashay Charice Faulkner Carr, 29, of Robin Hood Road, South Boston faces a felony charge of grand larceny and a misdemeanor charge of petty larceny.

 The alleged offenses occurred June 11 and Aug. 18, and Barksdale served the warrants Monday.

 Elizabeth Bruce Murray, 32, of Murray Road, South Boston faces a felony charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Cpl. P. C. Clayton served the warrant Monday.

 Randy Lee Mulchi, 50, of Loftis Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 21, and Deputy W. F. Cross served the warrant Thursday.

 Timothy Lawrence Womack, 34, of Marion’s Trail, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed weapon.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 9, and Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrant Friday.

 Joanne Traynham, 54, of College Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Deputy D. K. Francis served the warrant the same day.

 Crystal Powell King, 30, of Hodges Street, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of driving on a revoked or suspended license.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Cross served the warrant the same day.

 Troy Lee Hubbard, 41, of Golden Leaf Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Sgt. C. S. Yeatts served the warrant the same day.

 Joseph Junior Crawley, 53, of Coles Ferry Road, Nathalie was issued a misdemeanor surety capias.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Sheriff F. S. Clark served   the warrant Monday.

 Norma Louise Kaywood, 38, of Watkins Avenue, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Nov. 7, and Deputy C. S. Hudson served the warrant Monday,

 Tre’shon Malik Bailey, 18, of North Main Street, South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer A. C. Davis served the warrant Monday.

 Michael Anthony Torain, 53, of New Ingram Road, Danville faces a charge of being drunk in public.

Davis served the warrant Monday.

 James Alan Wilson, 51, of Crescent Drive, South Boston faces a charge of making annoying phone calls.

Cpl. S. L. Song served the warrant Saturday.

 Jonathon Destory Rickman, 28, of Hebron Church Road, Saxe faces a charge of larceny.

Officer T. D. Clay served the warrant Aug. 20.
