Halifax man faces 10 forgery charges

A 47-year-old Halifax man faces 10 felony charges of forging a check, a felony charge of failing to perform construction work and a misdemeanor charge of petty larceny, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Daryl Lawrence Acree of Joe Jackson Trail was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Aug. 16, 2012, Sept. 11, 2012 and Feb. 14. Deputy C. S. Hudson served the warrants Tuesday.

Louis Tyree Tatum, 55, of Rose Hill Drive, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant the same day.

 Patricia Pleasant McDowell, 47, of Mountain Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and Deputy J. L. Franco served the warrant the same day.

 Charles Edward Womack, 41, of Union Church Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and Deputy R. L. Compton served the warrant the same day.

 Michael Tyler Duffie, 20, of Mt. Pleasant Road, Chase City faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 13, and Compton served the warrant Tuesday.

 Bruce Edward Jackson Jr., 18, of Greenfield Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of failing to appear in court.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and Franco served the warrant the same day.

 Tyeisha Dove Woods, 30, of Berry Hill Road, South Boston faces two misdemeanor charges of making threats over the telephone.

The alleged offenses occurred Wednesday, and Franco served the warrant the same day.

 Angela Scott Kilmon, 37, of Philpott Road, Alton faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred July 23, and Deputy C. A. Bates V served the warrant Wednesday.

 Kenneth Dale Wilborne Jr., 34, of Berry Hill Road faces charges of being a felon in possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and being drunk in public, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Cpl. A. E. Whitmore served the warrant Wednesday, and Wilborne was held without bond.

 Brittany Jones Pool, 33, Grove Avenue, South Boston was issued a misdemeanor capias for failing to appear in court.

Another agency served the warrant Wednesday, and Pool was held on a $1,000 unsecured bond. 

 Emanuel Gerard Hill, 27, of Howard Road, Richmond faces a charge of being drunk in public.

Officer J. J. George served the warrant Wednesday.

 Robert Gregory Buster, 30, of Londonderry Lane, Roanoke faces a charge of soliciting without a permit.

Cpl. M. W. Bowen served the warrant Tuesday, and Buster was released on summons.

 Eillen Hooper Anderson, 56, of Maine Avenue, Roanoke faces a charge of soliciting without a permit. 

Bowen served the warrant Tuesday, and Anderson was released on summons.
