Woman faces possession charge

A 35-year-old Scottsburg woman faces felony charges of receiving or possessing stolen items, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Celeste Hall Owens of Green Level Road, was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Aug. 14, and Deputy W. F. Cross served the warrant Friday.

Ronnie Carson Beadles, 32, of Old Hickory Grove Road, Mt. Holley, N. C. faces a felony charge of failing to appear in court and was issued a misdemeanor surety capias.

The alleged offenses occurred March 22 and April 24, and Deputy S. Edmonds served the warrant Friday.

 Joseph Junior Crawley, 53, of Coles Ferry Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Deputy D. K. Francis served the warrant the same day.

 Patrick Van Anderson, 21, of Sweeney Trail, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Cpl. S. M.  Bowen served the warrant the same day.

 Barbara Rae Tuck Lester, 32, of Crescent Drive, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of making annoying phone calls.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 11, and Sgt. C. S. Yeatts served the warrant Sunday.

 Natasha Clarissa Elam, 26, of Sinai Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Deputy D. E. Martin served the warrant Sunday.

 Timothy Wallace Puryear, 52, of Link Puryear Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 12, and Sgt. Q.W. Clark served the warrant Monday.

 Willie Anderson Cullop, 51, of Melon Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrant Monday.

 Chasity Deangela Ramsay, 22, of Leasburg Road, Roxboro, N.C. faces misdemeanor charges of assault and battery on a family member and assault and battery.

The alleged offenses occurred July 13, and Deputy J. P. Adams served the warrants Monday.

• Jerry Wayne Conner, 28, of Coleman Drive, Alton faces two misdemeanor charges of contempt of court and was issued two misdemeanor surety capias.

The alleged offenses occurred April 29, June 21 and Aug. 2, and Sgt. C. S. Yeatts served the warrant Monday.

 Andrea Daun Hatcher Wilson, 22, of Denniston Road, Alton faces a misdemeanor charge of obstructing justice by threat without force.

The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Deputy C. A. Bates V served the warrant the same day.

  Kimberly Shante Mills, 33, of Moore Park Trail, South Boston faces charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and larceny for shoplifting, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer C. M. Mann served the warrant for the Danville Police Department on Friday.

  Robert Dewayne Covington, 46, of Hodges Street, South Boston faces a charge of being drunk in public.

Officer J.B. Throckmorton served the warrant Saturday.

  Maurice Lamont Meadows, 33, of McKinney Street, South Boston faces a charge of drinking in public.

Officer R. J. Mead served the warrant Sunday, and Meadows was released on summons.

  Raheem Ali Braxton, 36, of Wren Street, South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery on a family member.

Mead served the warrant Sunday.

  Charles Edward Claiborne, 50, of Sutphin Road, South Boston faces charges of brandishing a firearm, being a felon in possession of a weapon and possessing a controlled substance.

Officer J. J. George served the warrant Sunday, and Claiborne was held with no bond.

  Connie King Penick, 56, of Pine Heights Trail, Halifax faces a charge of failing to maintain control.

Mead served the warrant Monday.

  Dionne Tifanee Hopson, 28, of Edmunds Street, South Boston faces charges of vandalism/property damage and assault and battery.

Officer F. A. Powell served the warrant Monday.
