Nathalie woman faces assault charge

A 48-year-old Nathalie woman faces a felony charge of assault with intent to maim, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Virginia Alease Fears of Coles Ferry Road was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Sunday, and Deputy D. K. Francis served the warrant Tuesday.

Ricky Brandon Bowen, 27, of Cemetery Road, Virgilina faces a misdemeanor charge of tampering with a meter and a felony charge of utilities fraud.

The alleged offenses occurred Aug. 9, and Deputy C. S.  Hudson served the warrants Tuesday.

  Dick Melvin Walker Jr., 44, of L. P. Bailey Memorial Highway, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 8, and Deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrant Tuesday.

  Timothy Wayne Layne, 26, of Howard P. Anderson Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred June 10, and Deputy S. Edmonds served the warrant Tuesday.

  Barry Allen Barnett, 36, of Mountain Road, Vernon Hill faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Deputy W. G. Nunn   served the warrant Tuesday.

  Johnny Owen Clay, 22, of McKeever Trail, Nathalie was issued a misdemeanor surety capias.

The alleged offense occurred July 16, and Deputy Nunn served the warrant Wednesday.

  Robert Carroll Wilkerson Jr., 45, of Hilltop Drive, South Boston was issued a felony capias for a probation violation.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 2, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant Wednesday.

  Christopher K. Pumphrey, 26, of Harris Drive, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Deputy T. H. Clark served the warrant Wednesday.

  Kimberly S. Mills, 33, of Moore Park Trail, South Boston faces a charge of grand larceny, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Cpl. A. E. Whitmore served the warrant Wednesday, and Mills was held on a $1,500 secured bond.

  Kermit A. McCargo, 48, of Greenway Drive, South Boston faces a parking violation.

Sgt. G. M. Gilliam served the warrant Tuesday, and McCargo was released on summons.

  Demetrius Lamonica Ferrell, 35, of Love Shop Park Road, South   Boston faces a charge of vandalism/property damage.

Officer F. A. Powell served the warrant Wednesday, and Ferrell   was held on a  $2,500 secured bond.

  Melissa Terry Snead, 30, of McDonald Road, Scottsburg faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting.

Cpl. M. W. Bowen served the warrant Wednesday, and Snead was released on summons.
