South Boston man faces charges of attempted robbery

An 18-year-old South Boston man faces two felony charges of attempted robbery and misdemeanor charges of assault and battery and trespassing, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Tecquin Showers Hogue, of College Street was charged with the alleged offenses that occured Jan.18 and July 24, and Cpl. D. H. Barksdale served the warrants Thursday.

Anthony John Allen Jr., 23, of Mountain Road, Halifax faces a felony charge of assaulting a police officer.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and Inv. T. A. Mocarsky served the warrant the same day.

 Michael Todd Goad, 40, of Paradise Road, Alton faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant the same day.

 Brian Dale Phillips, 44, of North Terry’s Bridge Road, Halifax faces misdemeanor charges of being drunk in public and assault and battery.

The alleged offenses occurred Tuesday, and Deputy S. Edmonds served the warrants Wednesday.

 Darryl James Gomes, 40,of  Glendale Drive, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred June 10, and Cpl. P. C. Clayton served the warrant Wednesday.

 Jerwanda Denise Betts, 30, of Carrington Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred March 20, and Deputy W. F. Cross served the warrant Wednesday.

 Corey Tremaine Lewis, 26, of Bradley Creek Road, Nathalie was issued a misdemeanor surety capias.

The alleged offense occurred July 22, and Cross served the capias Wednesday.

 Shanquita Monique Rosser, 19, of Bradley Creek Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice by threat.

The alleged offense occurred Wednesday, and Deputy C. A. Bates V served the warrant the same day.

 Cephus Junious Ross, 57, of Asbury Church Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Barksdale served   the warrant the same day.

 Steve Granville Conner, 54, of Daniel Trail, Halifax faces a charge of being drunk in public.

Officer T. D. Clay served the warrant Tuesday.
