South Boston men facing drug charges

A 24-year-old South Boston man faces a charge of distributing a controlled substance, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Lavell Deonta Tucker of Myrtle Street was charged with the alleged offense, and Officer J. B. Throckmorton served the warrant Wednesday.

Tucker was held on a $5,000 secured bond.

Laron Justin Watkins, 25, of   College Street, South Boston faces a charge of distributing a controlled substance.

Officer R. J. Mead served the warrant Wednesday, and Watkins was held with no bond.

 Ronnie Dean Newbill Sr., 50, of Owens Avenue, South Boston faces a charge of distributing a controlled substance.

Officer B. H. Smith served the warrant Wednesday.

 George Christopher Schavlay Jr., 18, of Mountain Road, South Boston faces a charge of petty larceny.

Officer J. J. George served the warrant Wednesday.

 Benjamin D. Dunkley, 47, of Suggs Avenue, South Boston faces a contempt of court charge.

Officer R. L. Lawson served the warrant Wednesday.

 Michael Anthony Rondinelli, 18, of N. Main Street, South Boston faces charges of being drunk in public, recklessly handling a firearm while hunting, illegally possessing alcohol under the age of 21, having a concealed weapon and distributing marijuana.

Cpl. J. C. Berry served the warrant Thursday, and Rondinelli was held with no bond.

 Pierre Lashawn Edmunds, 25, of Myrtle Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

Cpl. M. W. Bowen served the warrant Tuesday, and Edmunds was held on a $2,500 secured bond.

 Quentin Jerrod Clauden, 31, of Summit Drive, South Boston faces a charge of vandalism/property damage.

Officer T. W. Bush served the warrant Wednesday, and Clauden was held on a $1,000 unsecured bond.

 Precious Denise Washington, 26, of Bancroft Street, South Boston faces a charge of vandalism/property damage.

Bush served the warrant Wednesday, and Washington was held on a $1,000 unsecured bond.

 A 49-year-old South Boston man faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Ricky Marcell Chandler of Bane Street was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Monday, and Deputy D. E. Martin served the warrant Tuesday.

 Lakeo Lorenzo Mitchell, 31, of Dryburg Road, Scottsburg faces misdemeanor charges of computer invasion and making annoying phone calls.

The alleged offenses occurred July 2 and July 10, and Inv. T. A. Mocarsky served the warrants Tuesday.

 Joshua Noble Hall, 24, of River Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of violating a juvenile protective order. 

 The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrant Wednesday.
