Clover man faces felony charges of grand larceny, forgery fraud

A 40-year-old Clover man faces two felony charges of forging a check and felony charges of grand larceny and fraud under false pretense, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reports.

David Steven Lloyd of Clover Road was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred March 25, and Sgt. C. S. Yeatts served the warrants July 3.

Tyrell T. Harris, 18, of Wilson Memorial Trail, Vernon Hill faces felony charges of grand larceny and burglary with intent along with misdemeanor charges of vandalism and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The alleged offenses occurred July 2, and Inv. T. A. Mocarsky served the warrants Thursday.

 Antwan Laquay Davis, 29, of North Main Street, Halifax faces a felony charge of larceny of an animal.

The alleged offense occurred June 21, and Deputy S. M. Comer served the warrant Thursday.

 Chris Daniel Anderson, 35, of Newton Farm Road, South Boston faces a felony charge of marijuana distribution.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Cpl. S. M. Bowen served the warrant the same day.

 A 14-year-old juvenile faces a misdemeanor charge of underage possession of alcohol.

The alleged offense occurred July 3, and Deputy C. S. Hudson served the juvenile petition the same day.

  Melissa Newton Howerton, 38, of Glenn Hill Farm Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member.

The alleged offense occurred July 3, and Hudson served the warrant the same day.

  David Wayne Howerton, 37, of Glenn Hill Farm Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member.

  Nichole Dawn Totherow, 21, of Philpott Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of petty larceny.

The alleged offense occurred July 1, and Hudson served the warrant July 3.

  Jason Lance Jones, 30, of Philpott Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of petty larceny.

The alleged offense occurred July 1, and Hudson served the warrant Thursday.

  William Patrick McElroy, 37, of Old U.S. 501, Roxboro, N.C., faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrant the same day.

  Jacob Montrell Thames, 29, of Glenside Drive, Greensboro, N.C., faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Deputy W. F. Cross served the warrant the same day.

  Paul Rayburn Mabe Jr., 43, of Abbott Hill Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred July 3, and Yeatts served the warrant Saturday.

  Jimmie Francis Rogers Jr., 39, of Denniston Road, Alton faces a misdemeanor charge of making threats over the telephone.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Deputy W. G. Nunn served the warrant Monday.

  Jonathan Hardy Cook, 19, of High Point Road, South Boston faces a charge of illegally possessing alcohol while being underage, according to South Boston Police Department records. 

Cpl. J. C. Berry served the warrant Sunday, and Cook was released on summons.

  Shanerra Raishelle Wyatt, 21, of Richmond Boulevard, Danville faces a charge of assault and battery of a family member.

Officer T.W. Bush served the warrant Monday, and Wyatt was held on a $1,000 secured bond.

  Kevin William Elam Jr., 19, of McCanless Street, South Boston faces a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Cpl. A. E. Whitmore served the warrant Monday.

  Robert Edward French, 46, of Bill Tuck Highway, Virgilina faces a charge of driving under the influence.

Cpl. T. N. Bratton served the warrant Tuesday.
