Nathalie man faces felony drug charge

A 45-year-old Nathalie man faces a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges of DUI, refusal to take a blood test and carrying a concealed weapon, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

MacArthur Lewis of Moorman’s Lane was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Tuesday. Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant the same day. 

William Patrick McElroy, 37, of Old U.S. 501, Roxboro, N.C., faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Cpl. P. C. Clayton served the warrant the same day.

 Al Davis Graves Sr., 52, of Williams Trail, Halifax faces misdemeanor charges of contempt of court and driving on a suspended or revoked license.

The alleged offenses occurred March 10 and June 10, and Sgt. C. S. Yeatts served the warrants Sunday.

 Gabriel Antonio Williams, 39, of Red Bank Road, Virgilina, faces a misdemeanor charge for contempt of court. 

The alleged offense occurred Oct. 22, and Deputy W. G. Nunn served the warrant Sunday.

 Ronnie David Blanks, 34, of Green Level Road, Scottsburg faces three misdemeanor charges of assault and battery. 

The alleged offenses occurred June 17, and Clayton served the warrant on Sunday.

 Joseph Carroll Clay, 34, of Runaway Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member. 

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Sgt.Q. W. Clark served the warrant Monday.

 Roger Neal Francis, 37, of Philpott Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public. 

The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Deputy C. A. Bates V served the warrant the same day. 

 Tyisha Woods, 30, of Berry Hill Road, South Boston faces charges of assault and battery and obstruction of justice by threat/force, according to South Boston Police Department records. 

Corporal J.C. Berry served the warrants Sunday.

 Travis Leon Hughes, 25, of Logan Street, South Boston faces charges of distributing a controlled substance. 

Sergeant G. M. Gilliam served the warrant Monday.

 Samuel Steele Adams Jr., 59, of Crescent Drive, South Boston faces a charge of being drunk in public. 

Officer B. H. Smith served the warrant Monday. 

 Dick Melvin Walker Jr., 44, of L. P. Bailey Memorial Highway faces charges of trespassing and larceny for shoplifting.

Officer C. M. Mann served the warrants Thursday.
