Woman facing charge of making false calls for ambulance service

A 64-year-old Halifax woman faces a misdemeanor charge of making false calls for ambulance service, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Judy Yeatts Yarborough of Hedderly Street was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Thursday.

Cpl. D. H. Barksdale served the warrant the same day.

Victoria Renee Short, 21, of Conner Trail, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of violating a custody visitation order.

The alleged offense occurred May 4, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrant Thursday.

 Michael Wayne Logan, 22, of Moore Street, South Boston faces a larceny charge for shoplifting, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Cpl. J. C. Berry served the warrant Thursday, and Logan was released on summons.

 Jonathan T. Wilborne, 29, faces a charge of assault on a family member. 

Officer A. E. Whitmore served the warrant Saturday, and Wilborne was being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail on no bond.
