Clover man faces eight charges after turning himself in to cops

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office officially charged 27-year-old Christopher Wilson Strange of Mosley Ferry Road, Clover on Tuesday with three felony charges of intent to burglarize, three felony charges of grand larceny and two misdemeanor charges of vandalism after he turned himself in at the sheriff’s office.

Strange had fled from deputies who were attempting to serve warrants on him June 20.

Deputy C. A. Bates V responded with his tracking canine and was able to track the subject for a distance. 

Authorities said they believed a vehicle possibly picked up Strange at another location on Mill Road. 

On Monday Myrtle Beach authorities recovered a 2013 red Ford Lariat pickup truck Strange is suspected of stealing last Thursday from a Rodgers Chapel Road residence.

Following his arrest Tuesday, the sheriff said additional charges are pending against Strange.

Investigator M. A. Womack was in charge of the investigation that led to Strange’s arrest Tuesday on the alleged offenses that occurred April 15 and 21.

Sgt. C. S. Yeatts served the warrants Tuesday. 

Heather Dawn Brumfield, 21, of Hunting Creek Road, Clover faces a felony charge of obstructing justice/resisting arrest.

The alleged offense occurred May 10, and Deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrant Tuesday.

 Shawon Devon Carter, 33, of Cardinal Place, Danville was issued a felony capias for probation violation.

The alleged offense occurred Feb. 1, 2012, and Yancey issued the capias Tuesday.

 Hugh Brent Wilmouth, 31, of Guill Town Road, Scottsburg faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrant Tuesday.

 James Michael Francis, 38, of Huell Matthews Highway, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 1, 2012, and Inv. T. A. Mocarsky served the warrant Tuesday.

 Willie Thomas Francis Jr., 47, of Barksdale Drive, Halifax faces two misdemeanor charges of assault and battery.

The alleged offenses occurred Feb. 16, and Mocarsky served the warrants Wednesday.

  Tasheia A. Foster, 24, of Delaware Street, Clover faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred June 12, and Sgt. D. W. Martin served the warrant Wednesday.

 Ronald Damon Pieronski, 34, of Lewis Ferrell Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of vandalism.

The alleged offense occurred June 14, and Cpl. D. H.  Barksdale served the warrant Wednesday.

 Regina Daniel Phillips, 36, of Bethel Road, Scottsburg faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Sgt. C. S. Yeatts served   the warrant Wednesday.

 Vivian Barksdale, 68, of Barksdale Drive, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Feb. 16, and Deputy J. P. Adams served the warrant Wednesday.

 Ray Phillip Barksdale, 69, of Barksdale Drive, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Feb. 16, and Adams served the warrant Wednesday.

 Kevan Eugene Brown, 37, of East Bishop Drive, South Boston faces a charge of being drunk in public, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Cpl. M. W. Bowen served the warrant Tuesday.

 Treva Benita Dye, 44, of Poplar Creek Street, South Boston faces a petty larceny charge.

Officer J. J. George served the warrant Wednesday, and Treva Dye was released on summons.

 Katrina Ulanda Dye, 45, of Mt. Laurel Road, Clover faces a petty larceny charge.

George served the warrant Wednesday, and Katrina Dye was released on summons.

 David Scott Vicks, 36, of Lynch Street, Danville faces a charge of driving under the influence.

Mead served the warrant Wednesday, and Vicks was released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.
