Two men arrested following stabbing in South Boston

Two South Boston men were arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred Wednesday afternoon, South Boston Police Captain B. K. Lovelace said.

Edduardo Jamon Ferguson, 34, of McKinney Street faces charges of malicious wounding and violating a protective order, while 27-year-old Gerard Alexander Squires of Wagstaff Lane faces two counts of violating a protective order and one count of assault and battery.

Officer R. L. Lawson arrested Ferguson, and Officer R. J. Mead arrested Squires.

Both men were being held with no bond, Lovelace said.

At approximately 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, members of the South Boston Police Department responded to a malicious wounding call on Wagstaff Lane.

When officers arrived on the scene, Lovelace said it was discovered that the victim, a South Boston resident, had several lacerations to his arm, and he was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released and later arrested.
