Danville man faces drug, weapon charges

A 24-year-old Danville man faces six felony charges of distributing a controlled substance, a felony charge of child neglect and a felony charge of possessing firearms with drugs, according Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Reginald Devon Mabins, of North Avenue was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Feb. 27 and 28, and March 5, 8, and 12. Deputy J. P. Adams served the warrant Friday.

Stephanie Denise Boyd, 30, of Coles Ferry Road, Nathalie faces a felony charge of forging public records, and a misdemeanor charge of having false identification.

The alleged offenses occurred Friday, and Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrants the same day.

 Eugene Robert Putnam, 74, of Buffalo Road, Long Island faces a felony charge of assault with the intent to maim.

The alleged offense occurred Dec.5, and Clark served the warrant Sunday.

 Christopher Marcus Duffer, 34, of Buckshoal Road, Virgilina faces a felony charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle and a misdemeanor charge of failing to appear in court.

The alleged offenses occurred May 16 and 29, and Deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrants Monday.

 Jason Tyler McKinney, 29, of Union Church Road, Halifax faces misdemeanor charges of vandalism and assault and battery on a family member.

The alleged offenses occurred Friday, and Inv.  C. J. Yeatts served the warrants the same day.

 Jamie Lester Smith, 28, of Traver Avenue, South Boston faces two misdemeanor charges of assault and battery.

The alleged offenses occurred Thursday and May 23, and   Deputy S. Edmonds served the warrant Friday.

 Christie Marie Gadda, 34, of LP Bailey Memorial Highway, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred May 29, and Edmonds served the warrant Friday.

 Antonio Nathaniel Moore Jr., 20, of Cedar Grove Road, South Boston faces two misdemeanor charges of contempt of court.

The alleged offenses occurred Aug. 1, 2012, and Cpl. D. H. Barksdale served the warrant Sunday.

 Bradley Shane Palmer, 27, of South Avenue, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of violating a child protective order.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Clark served the warrant the same day.

 Caitlyn Grace Wilkinson, 26, of Lowery Road, South Boston faces misdemeanor charges of being drunk in public and preventing lawful arrest.

The alleged offenses occurred Monday, and Deputy J.O. Tanner served the warrants the same day.

 Keith Allen Farrar, 39, of Wilkins Road, Alton faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrant the same day.

 Gloria Jean Hutcherson, 56, of South Boston faces charges of driving under the influence, refusing a breath test and driving on a suspended or revoked license, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer T. W. Bush served the warrants Saturday, and Hutcherson was held without bond.

 Bruce Edward Jackson Jr., 18, of South Boston faces a charge of vandalism.

Cpl. S. L. Song served the warrant Sunday, and Jackson was held on a $1,000 unsecured bond.

 Travis Wayne Bowes, 24, of Alton faces a charge of shoplifting.

Officer F. A. Powell served the warrant Sunday, and Bowes was released on summons.

 Kristen Adara Comer, 18, of South Boston faces a charge of shoplifting.

Powell served the warrant Sunday, and Comer was released on summons.

 Edward Simon Wilson, 63, South Boston faces charges of disregarding a stop sign, driving under the influence and driving on a license suspended for a DUI conviction. 

Officer J. B. Throckmorton served the warrants Monday, and Wilson was held without bond.
