Pair faces drug charges

As part of an ongoing drug round-up by the Halifax/South Boston Regional Narcotics and Gang Task Force, two more persons have been arrested on drug indictments, according to Halifax County Sheriff Fred S. Clark.

Darion Miller of Gretna was charged with four counts of felony distribution of cocaine and four counts of conspiring to distribute cocaine. 

 Glenn David Palmer of Halifax was charged with one count of felony distribution of marijuana, one felony count of conspiring to distribute marijuana, and one felony count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana. 

Miller is being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond, and Palmer was released on a $5,000 secured bond from the Blue Ridge Regional Jail, Clark said.

The sheriff expressed appreciation to all the agencies involved with these arrests and the citizens of Halifax County who provided tips and information pertaining to this ongoing investigation. 

The Halifax/South Boston Regional Narcotics and Gang Task Force consists of members from the South Boston Police Department, Virginia State Police and Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
