Halifax man faces numerous drug, firearm charges

A 27-year-old Halifax man faces numerous drug and firearm charges following his arrest Tuesday, according to Virginia State Police Special Agent and Task Force Coordinator R. B. George.

Task Force officers arrested Brian Lamar Tucker of Jones Store Lane while he was incarcerated at Halifax Regional Adult Detention Center on other task force charges.

Tucker was wanted on 13 separate indictments, George said, including seven counts of distribution of cocaine, two counts of distributing an imitation controlled substance, two counts of conspiring to distribute cocaine, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of possessing a firearm while distributing cocaine.
