Man charged in malicious wounding

A 33-year-old South Boston man faces a felony charge of malicious wounding, according to South Boston Police Department records.

John Ward was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Saturday, and Officer A. E. Whitmore served the warrant the same day. Ward was held without bond.

A 28-year-old South Boston man faces a drug charge of distributing a controlled substance and another for possession of marijuana.

Shamoni Deshaz Faulkner was arrested Thursday for the alleged offenses, and Officer C. M. Mann served the warrants.

Faulkner was being held without bond.

 Charles Edward Claiborne, 50, of South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery of a family member.

Cpl. T. N. Bratton served the warrant Thursday.

Claiborne was held on a $2,000 bond.

 Catherine Bittle Sizemore, 87, of Buffalo Junction faces a charge of reckless driving in a parking lot.

Whitmore served the warrant, and Sizemore was released on her signature.

 Tiffany Jones Ferrell, 28, of Danville faces a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Officer T. W. Bush served the warrant Thursday, and Ferrell was held on a $6,000 unsecured bond.

 Jacqueline Cook, 47, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure.

 The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Officer R. J. Mead served the warrant the same day. Cook was held on a $2,000 secured bond.

 Walter Griffin, 50, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Mead served the warrant the same day. Griffin was held on a $4,000 secured bond.

 Shanita Walton, 30, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault.

 The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Cpl. J. C. Berry served the warrant Saturday. Walton was held on an unsecured bond.

 Amanda Walton, 47, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault.

 The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Berry served the warrant Saturday.  Walton was held on an unsecured bond.

 Derrick Walton, 25, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Berry served the warrant Saturday. Walton was held on a $2,000 unsecured bond.

 Melvin Stephens, 55, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Mead served the warrant the same day.

 Anthony Wilson, 22, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Mead served the warrant the same day. Wilson was held on an unsecured bond.

 Eugene Barksdale, 34, of Danville faces misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and giving a false identity to law enforcement.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Mead served the warrant the same day. Barksdale was held without bond.

 Michael Antwan Henderson 26, of Ball Park Loop, Halifax faces two misdemeanor charges of making threats over a telephone, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

The alleged incidents occurred April 16 and 17, and Investigator C. J. Yeatts served the warrants Thursday.

 Shatner Devon Womack, 38, of Crawford Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Jan. 14, and Sgt. C. S. Yeatts served the warrant Thursday.
