Man charged with disregarding police command

A 36-year-old South Boston man faces a felony charge of disregarding a police command, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Lamont Boysie Williams of Glass Mill Road was charged with the offense that allegedly occurred Dec. 23, and Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrant Thursday.

Angela Renee Policano, 45, of Arrington Trail, Virgilina faces a felony drug charge of distributing a controlled substance and two misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession and possessing drug paraphernalia.

The charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred Oct. 22, and Clark served the warrants Thursday.

 Lacorey Beard, 30, of Beards Trail, South Boston faces a felony charge of being a convicted felon with a firearm.

The charge stems from an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 8, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrant Thursday.

 Ronald William Ross, 53, of Glendale Drive, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The charge stems from an incident that allegedly occurred March 20, and Deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrant Thursday.

 Lorenzo Wilbur Bailey, 51, of Gygax Avenue, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license following a DUI conviction.

The charge stems from an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 4, 2012, and Clark served the warrant Thursday.

 Allen Fred Holt, 27, of Moore Street, South Boston faces misdemeanor charges of vandalism and making threats over the telephone.

The charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred March 14, and Deputy T. A. Mocarsky served the warrants Thursday.

 Willie Matthew Kirby, 43, of Halifax faces a petty larceny charge, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer R. L. Lawson served the warrant Thursday.

 Brandon Dale Wilson, 24, of South Boston faces a charge of kidnapping/violating visitation.

Officer J. J. George served the warrant Thursday.

 Trisha Ann Langford, 36, of Clarksville faces a larceny for shoplifting charge.

Cpl. J. C. Berry served the warrant Thursday.
