Scottsburg man faces multiple charges in incident

A 19-year-old Scottsburg man faces multiple charges stemming from an incident that occurred Sunday and Monday, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Michael Tyler Duffie of Bethel Road was arrested on a felony charge of kidnapping/abduction and misdemeanor charges of assault and battery on a family member, violating a juvenile protective order, vandalism and driving on a revoked license.

The alleged offenses occurred Sunday and Monday, and Deputy J. O. Tanner Jr. served the warrants Monday.

Phillip Wayne Snead, 39, of Mill Road, Clover faces a felony charge of grand larceny.

The alleged offense occurred March 1, and Deputy S. Edmonds served the warrant Saturday.

 Lucrecio Sanchez Jr., 41, of James D. Hagood Highway, Scottsburg faces two felony charges of being a habitual offender.

The alleged offenses occurred June 23 and April 30, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrants Monday.

 Ebony Tionna C. Ogburn, 22, of Pen Road, Buffalo Junction faces two felony charges of fraud under false pretense.

The alleged offenses occurred Oct. 30, and Deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrants Monday.

 Carlos Blake Claiborne, 31, of Pen Road, Buffalo Junction faces two felony charges of fraud under false pretense.

The alleged offenses occurred Oct. 30, and Deputy Q. W. Clark served the warrants Monday.

 James Reginald Bowman, 55, of Riverdale Drive, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice by threat.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Tanner served the warrant the same day.

 Gregory Levon Dixon, 36, of Blue Rock Road, Vernon Hill faces a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Tanner served the warrant Sunday.

 Najwa Yuri Womack, 19, of South Boston faces a charge of shoplifting, according to South Boston Police Office records.

Womack was charged Monday and was released on summons.
