Roxboro man faces fugitive charge

A 20-year-old Roxboro, N.C. man faces a fugitive felony warrant, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Tony Leon Satterfield Jr. was arrested on the alleged offense that occurred Wednesday, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrant the same day.

• Nicholas Joshua Shorts, 19, of Easley Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Wednesday, and Deputy W. F. Cross served the warrant the same day.

• Shirley Hughes Williams, 41, of Bill Tuck Highway, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Nov. 19, and Sgt. C. S. Yeatts served the warrant Wednesady.

• Vincent Cornell Harrison, 63, of South Boston faces a charge of marijuana possession, according to South Boston Police Office reports. 

Harrison was charged with the alleged offense Wednesday.

• Dary Lamonte Edmonds, 39, of South Boston faces a charge of trespassing.

Edmonds was charged with the alleged offense Wednesday.

• John Stephen Watts, 50, of South Boston faces a charge of being drunk in public. 

The alleged offense occurred Wednesday.
