Virginia State Police have arrested a Saxe woman after she ran over and dragged a man through a Charlotte County parking lot Thursday.
Shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday, Virginia State Police Sr. Trooper W.J. Wilburn Jr. was called to the parking lot of the Keysville Exxon on Route 360.
Katrice E. Goode and Donald G. Williams had gotten into an argument, according to authorities.
During the course of the argument, Goode got into a 2002 Chevrolet four-door sedan, put the vehicle in drive, accelerated and struck Williams. Williams then fell to the ground and was dragged underneath the vehicle for approximately 40 feet before the vehicle stopped, police said.
Williams, 50, of Keysville, was flown to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Goode, 26, of Saxe, was taken into custody by Trooper Wilburn and charged with one count of aggravated malicious wounding. Goode was transported to the Charlotte County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
