Grand jury hands down indictment for grand larceny

A Halifax County Circuit Court grand jury indicted a 24-year-old Nathalie man Nov. 13 for two counts of grand larceny and one count for breaking and entering.

 

The grand jury indicted Anthony Steven Morgan of Golden Leaf Road for one count of grand larceny from Sally Moore and one count of breaking and entering the dwelling of Moore, with the offenses allegedly occurring in a period from Feb. 4 through Feb. 17, according to court records.

The grand jury also indicted Morgan for one count of grand larceny from Moore, with that offense allegedly occurring on Feb. 17.

Other indictments handed down Nov. 13 include:

James Edward Bates, 49, of Gatha’s Trail, Halifax, indicted for a subsequent offense of driving after having been declared a habitual offender, with the offense allegedly occurring on May 21.

 Teresa Christine Comer, 46, of Oak Level Road, Halifax, indicted for breaking and entering the dwelling of Ashley and Jeremy Walker, grand larceny from Ashley and Jeremy Walker and destruction of personal property belonging to Ashley and Jeremy Walker, with the offenses allegedly occurring on June 3.

 Charles Junior Cousin, 50, of Old Mill Road, Halifax, indicted for a subsequent offense of driving after having been declared a habitual offender, with the offense allegedly occurring on March 3.

 Joseph Junior Crawley, 52, of Coles Ferry Road, Nathalie, indicted for DUI after having two prior violations within the past 10 years, with the offense allegedly occurring on July 28.

 Trey Roberts, 18, of Bold Springs Road, South Boston, indicted for the malicious wounding of Lacorey Beard and the malicious wounding of Lacorey Beard as part of a mob, with the offenses allegedly occurring on June 26.

 Brian Locklear, 41, of Felix Road, Nathalie, indicted for the malicious wounding of Jonathan Gray Sipple, with the offense allegedly occurring on June 8.

 Linwood McGhee Jr., 62, of Sunset Drive, Milton, N.C., indicted for grand larceny from Charles Brandon, with the offense allegedly occurring on Jan. 30.

 Trenquieta Moni Lambert, 19, of Dryburg Road, Scottsburg, indicted for grand larceny from Walmart, with the offense allegedly occurring Aug. 6.

 Willie Anderson Cullop, 51, of Melon Road, Long Island, indicted for a subsequent offense of driving after having been declared a habitual offender.

 Ashton Lamar Newman, 20, of Westside Village, South Boston, indicted for destruction of personal property belonging to Filbert Holeman, with the offense allegedly occurring on Aug. 16.
