SoBo man faces grand larceny, burglary charges

A 36-year-old South Boston man is facing felony charges for grand larceny and intent to burglarize, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Brett Alan Newbill is charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Oct. 31, and Deputy Q. W. Clark served the warrants on Thursday.

Ramone Dean Clark, 43, of Duck Trail, Halifax, faces a misdemeanor charge for indecent exposure.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and Deputy C.S. Hudson served the warrant that same day.

 Patricia Ann Waller, 54, of L. P. Bailey Memorial Highway, Nathalie, is facing a misdemeanor charge for embezzlement of leased property.

The alleged offense occurred Oct. 3, and Clark served the warrant on Friday.

 Christopher R. Kaake, 26, of Calvary Road, Alton, faces misdemeanor charges for a second conviction of DUI within five years and driving on a suspended or revoked operator’s license.

The alleged offenses occurred Friday, and Deputy T.H. Clarke served the warrants the same day.

 Christopher Michael Wheeler Jr., 34, of South Boston, faces a charge for a probation violation, according to South Boston Police Office records.

Wheeler was charged with the alleged offense Wednesday and released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

 Edward Dexter Mills, 26, of South Boston faces a charge for being drunk in public, according to South Boston Police records.

Mills was charged with the alleged offense on Friday.

 Sherry Smith Vincent, 48, of South Boston faces a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

The alleged offense occurred sometime between Nov. 11-12, and Officer T. W. Bush served the warrant.

Vincent was taken to Blue Ridge Regional Jail on a $1,000 secured bond.

 Davonnell L. Terry, 24, of South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery of a family member with a protective order issued.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Cpl. M. W. Bowen served the warrant.

Terry was held on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

 Tonya T. Oliver, 38, of Chase City faces a charge of driving on a suspended license.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Bowen served the warrant.

Oliver was released on summons.

 Achelohiym Jordan, 40, of South Boston faces a charge of driving on a suspended license.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Bowen served the warrant.

Jordan was released on summons.

 Geraldine S. Quinn, 64, of South Boston faces a charge of driving on a suspended license.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Officer A. E. Whitmore served the warrant.

Quinn was released on summons.

 Annie Wells, 26, of Nathalie faces a charge of driving on a suspended license.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Cpl. S.L. Song served the warrant.

Wells was released on summons.
